Steven Boss:
Soon after graduating from high school in 1969, Boss both began a 42-year career at Akron Brass and joined the National Guard. He was 19 years old when deployed to Kent in May 1970. His unit was positioned on Blanket Hill at the time of the shootings. The sister of his future wife was among the student protesters on the commons. Boss later testified before the grand jury. Today, Boss volunteers on the color guard during burial services for veterans. The Wooster native now lives in Creston.
